I See Christ Today

Once in a land

Called Palestine

They saw him, the Christ

As he lived and taught

Feeding the hungry

Healing the sick

Eating with sinners

But always preaching love

In him they saw God

Learned forgiveness and acceptance

Felt compassion and understanding

Knew the miracle of prayer

They saw him, the Christ

Far away and long ago

I see him today

In the face of my friend

Will he be seen in me?
