August 7th, 2017 In a few words…

Cornerstone UMC I have changed my mind and I can no longer do what I said I was going to do. I can no longer preach as I had intended, well at least the sermon series I was going to. This week I was supposed to be preparing for a new sermon series called “The Hope Epidemic”, but Sunday evening after finishing “The Apostle’s Tale” series I was having a hard time sleeping. The Holy Spirit was keeping me awake. A conversation I had with my beautiful wife about evangelism had been playing over and over in my head and I knew that I needed to go in a different direction. When the Holy Spirit begins to speak to you something new and exciting its best you follow.

So this next week we will begin a different series called “See All the People”. Where does this series come from? Well, recently Discipleship Ministries of the United Methodist Church has been encouraging churches to stop trying to fix churches and instead See All the People. What does this mean and what is this? Well I don’t want to spoil too much for you about what you will experience this upcoming Sunday, but maybe this video will give you a taste!

Join us at Cornerstone UMC this coming Sunday so that we can hear how we are going to #SeeAllthePeople in Garland, Richardson, Plano, Murphy, and beyond. We have not been called to fix the church, we have been called to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world!
