We're currently using the Live B.I.G. curriculum. Experience the difference: Hear, See, and Live your Belief In God. These Bible-based lessons are reinforced by DVD segments. Children will experience God through coming to know Jesus and the Bible, relationships with others, and learning about God's creations. The lessons are designed in different formats for different age levels to meet the changing needs of children.

OUR MISSION:
We want to provide a safe, happy place for your child to experience his/her first adventures in school. Children learn that the world is an exciting, interesting place through creative play, books, songs, and interaction with the teachers and other children. The opportunities provided are designed to promote the social, emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual growth of each child within a nurturing environment. Class hours are from 9am-2pm on Monday through Friday for all classes except the 18 month old class and they are here only on Tuesday/Thursday.

Children will be placed in the classes based upon their age as of September 1st of the current school year. This is consistent with the public school placement law. Children in our Mothers Day Out program must be at least 18 months old to start the program. We prefer that the 3 year old children using the restroom independently, but we will not discriminate against those who aren't. The 4 year old children need to be using the restroom independently before the start date of the program.

Cornerstone is offering 12 months through School Age Summer Camp beginning June 7-August 13th 2010. We have flexible schedules and awesome activities for all children and field trips planned for school age children 5-12. We are a licensed child care provider, with all staff having first aid and CPR. Cornerstone Christian Learning Center offers a safe environment with low ratios and age appropriate planned activities. | Class Information: Toddlers |

Our toddler class is open to ages 12 months- 2 years old. We have a ratio of 1 teacher to 4 children. The toddler class will be learning through story time, centers, and songs. Along with daily outside time, the children will enjoy music time and chapel weekly. Our toddler class teacher is CPR and first aid trained. We also require age appropriate training that is specific for toddlers. Our toddlers are eager to play and learn here at Cornerstone.

Our twos class is open to children 2-3 years old. We have a teacher/student ratio of 2 to 8. Our twos class is beginning to sit in circle time, where they talk about the weather, calendar, shapes, numbers and letters. Learning to sit for longer periods of time during story time is an exciting adventure for the twos. In the twos class skills, such as sharing, listening to directions, toilet training, gluing and coloring have begun. The twos class will be learning through monthly themes and appropriate manipulative. The twos enjoy playing outside, going to art and music class.

Our Pre-K3 class uses a hands on approach to learning math, writing, science, social studies, and health by implementing the "Learning Box" and "High Reach Learning" curriculum. The Pre-K3 class may be watching a caterpillar build a cocoon or making homemade ice cream. "Frog Street Cooking" and "The Mailbox" are two curriculum supplements that make learning fun. The Pre-K3 is a great place to learn how to complete multi-step projects, and experience a structured environment. In Pre-K3, children are making new friends and learning how to transition from toddler to child.

Pre-K4/5 uses a curriculum called "My Fathers World, From A to Z". The year will consist of learning math, science, art, Bible, childrens literature and creative thinking! Some of the activities the fours and fives do are take care of their class pet, go outside for picnics and learn about science through exciting experiments. The Pre-K4/5 children will not only be prepared for Kindergarten, but also leave Cornerstone a well rounded individual, ready to be a successful individual. Our Pre-Kinder students enjoy going to Art, Music and Cooking specials! We are excited to see what journeys our imaginations will take us on Literacy Fridays! Pre-K 4/5 will be taking 2-3 exciting, educational field trips during the year!

| Meet the Director! |

Tracey Bradley is the Director of CCLC. This is her third year at Cornerstone. Before working at Cornerstone, Tracey worked for GISD in the Special Education Department, working with children with Autism, Down's Syndrome, Seziure Disorder and other disabilities. She has 10 years of early childhood experience. She also volunteers regularly in the Walnut Glen Academy school clinic, with Cornerstone Youth and LP Kids.

Ms. Nita teaches Art and Music and our Pre-K 4/5 class. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Pre-K thru 8th grade with a Speech minor. In addition, she also has a Master's Degree in Art and Special Ed/Gifted and Talented. She continues her training in Autism. Before coming to Cornerstone Christian Learning Center, she worked in the public school system in grades Kinder-6th and Art classes to all ages. She only recently retired from the public schools and we are so lucky to have her here at Cornerstone Christian Learning Center. She has been married to her husband Tom for 41 years and she has two children, Nikki; 35 and Ryan; 34.

Ms. Janna is the PreK-3 teacher here at CCLC. She has 8 years experience teaching preschool. Ms. Janna is currently continuing her education in early childhood at Eastfield College. Ms. Janna has 2 girls, Ashley and Maggie. She has been married to Marco for 12 years. Stop by the Pre-K 3 year old class and see what fun things they are doing! You might see a super science project or a awesome art project.

Ms. Lisa is the preschool teacher assistant. She has been here for 4 years. Ms. Lisa is a Barbie doll collector and enjoys traveling. She is a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church. Ms. Tara is our Toddler 2 teacher and this is her second year at Cornerstone! She has two girls, Evelyn and Emily. Evelyn is in Kindergarten and Emily is in Ms. Janna's class this year. She loves shopping, coffee and tennis! Ms. Tara has many years experience in early childhood. She is very patient and you will find them working on age appropriate manipulatives or an art project if you stop in to vist! We love Ms. Tara!
