2009 Mens Retreat, June 19-21
Prothro Center at Lake Texoma
This year well be focusing our study around the film, Facing the Giants, which is an action-packed drama about a Christian high school football coach who uses his undying faith to battle the giants of fear and failure.
The cost is $140 per person, which covers study materials andall meals, including dinner on Friday (if you arrive before 6pm). Scholarships are also available.
There will be ample time for swimming in the pool or lake, fishing (in the lake only!), plus canoeing and kayaking for those who are interested.Well hike around the grounds, stopping at Cross Point (an outdoor sanctuary) for a brief message related to "facing our giants" and end up at Tranquility Point, a great spot for all of us to have a quiet moment of reflection and prayer.
You need not be an active member of the UMM; all men of the church are welcome to attend this retreat.
